Both the Isuzu Rodeo and Isuzu Trooper are excellent vehicles for camping and exploring, and they are well suited to roof top tents. It is simple to mount one on a Rodeo, Thule makes two separate crossbar systems that work beautifully with the Isuzu factory rack. The Trooper can either have aftermarket tracks installed in the roof or Yakima Q-towers and adapters to lock into the doorframes.

Sometimes we put a third bar in the back, attached only to the tent, something like a stretch kit. Anyway the third bar is mostly for looks and to even out the load when you are camping. The front two bars alone are rated at 165 pounds, more than strong enough when you are traveling down the road.
