We have been putting a lot of our light-weight roof top tents (small Columbus) on the Subaru Outback because of the 110 pound weight rating on the factory rack. It turns out you can order a special set of crossbars made for Subaru by Yakima that have a 150 pound rating, talk to your Subaru dealer. This gives you a much broader choice of tents. We still like the small tents for the Outback. The Subaru Forester is a little bigger, so a medium tent fits well on these great SUVs. |
